About
The Alden B. Dow Creativity Center at Northwood University, founded in 1978 in Midland, Michigan, hosted four creativity fellows each summer for an eight-week residency to pursue an original creative project of their own design. Modeled on the Dow family's interest in cross-disciplinary creative work, the program was unusually open in discipline — fellows worked on everything from new musical instruments to academic research projects to studio art. The program ended in the 2010s as Northwood's institutional priorities shifted. Preserved here for reference and review continuity.
