Women's Studio Workshop is the benchmark — they offer a $350/week childcare stipend for residents with kids under twelve. Most other programs that accommodate caregivers do so through flexible length, partner accommodations, or by connecting residents to local childcare networks rather than direct subsidies.
It depends on the program. Many will allow partners in housing for part of a residency on request, especially if asked early. A few programs (Vermont Studio Center's Family/Partner track, the Anderson Center) have formal partner-welcoming structures. Always ask the coordinator directly.
