Skaftfell is a residency and exhibition space in the remote eastern fjords of Iceland. The town of Seyðisfjörður — population 700 — sits at the end of a mountain pass surrounded by waterfalls, snow-capped peaks, and the North Atlantic. Residents receive a private studio and apartment. The extreme seasonal light conditions (24-hour sun in summer, near-total darkness in winter) fundamentally alter creative perception.
