Townhouse Gallery

Townhouse Gallery is one of the Arab world's most important independent art spaces, founded in downtown Cairo in 1998. The residency hosts international and Egyptian artists for 1–3 month stays in a converted townhouse in the Abdin neighborhood. Cairo's overwhelming scale, its 7,000 years of artistic tradition, and the post-revolutionary cultural energy make it one of the most intellectually intense cities in the world for an artist. Townhouse provides studio space, accommodation, and curatorial mentorship.
