Artist Residencies in Massachusetts

Massachusetts holds two of the most career-defining residencies in the US: the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown (7-month fellowships for early-career writers and visual artists, founded by Hudson Walker in 1968) and MASS MoCA's Studios (one of the largest contemporary art museum residency programs in the world). The state also runs strong urban studio programs around Boston and Cambridge.
