Copland House is the only composer residency in the United States located in a National Historic Landmark — the former home of Aaron Copland in the Hudson Valley. The CULTIVATE program provides emerging to mid-career composers with a private room, Steinway piano, meals, and complete creative freedom for 4–8 weeks. The house itself — where Copland composed from 1960 until his death in 1990 — carries an extraordinary creative charge.
