Founded in 1910 and affiliated with the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Ox-Bow sits on 115 acres of dunes, woods, and meadows along the Kalamazoo River near Lake Michigan. The residency program offers 2-week sessions for mid-career and established artists with private studios, shared housing, and communal meals. Residents work alongside summer school students, creating a unique intergenerational dynamic.
