Fogo Island Arts hosts residencies in four architecturally striking studios designed by Todd Saunders, perched on the rocky coastline of Fogo Island, Newfoundland — one of the four corners of the Earth in medieval cartography. Each studio is a glass-and-timber structure cantilevered over the Atlantic. The program is fully funded and deeply community-integrated; residents engage with a fishing village whose roots go back 400 years. One of the most visually and conceptually distinctive residencies in the world.
