We are excited to continue our artist-in-residence program at Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park. The Park boundaries include two legendary and sacred volcanoes, Kilauea and Mauna Loa, as well as rainforests and mysterious and ever-changing active lava flows. This is a unique dramatic environment for all artistic media to flourish and to inspire new breakthroughs in process and result.

June 2027 Residency (National Parks Arts Foundation)
15d leftA one-month residency inside Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park in June 2027, open to all media and genres — single artists, couples, families, collectives, and troupes may apply. The selected resident receives a $4,000 stipend (paid after the residency), free housing with studio space including an electronic baby grand piano and sound booth, plus publicity and a public event. Applications close August 21, 2026 via Submittable; NPAF posts each month-term as its own call, so watch for further 2027 terms.
