The Chinati Foundation Residency

The Chinati Foundation Artist in Residence program places artists in Marfa, Texas — home to Donald Judd's monumental installations and one of the most singular art destinations in the world. Residents receive housing, studio space, and a stipend in the vast Chihuahuan Desert landscape. Living alongside Judd's permanent installations — 100 aluminum boxes, the concrete works — is a masterclass in space, light, and perception.
