Nirox Foundation is a sculpture park and artist residency on a nature reserve in the Cradle of Humankind, 45 minutes from Johannesburg. Residents work in studios surrounded by a 15-hectare sculpture park featuring works by William Kentridge, Jaume Plensa, and Marco Cianfanelli. The landscape — ancient dolomite geology, UNESCO World Heritage status — gives the residency a geological sense of deep time.
