The Willard R. Espy Literary Foundation was a small writers' residency in Oysterville, Washington, on the Long Beach Peninsula at the mouth of the Columbia River. Founded by Espy's family in his honor (Espy was an essayist, lexicographer, and ardent advocate for the region), the residency hosted writers in the late lexicographer's home and the surrounding Oysterville Sea Farms property. The program closed in the 2010s when the family could no longer sustain operations. Oysterville remains a registered National Historic District. Preserved here for reference and review continuity.
